The promotion of Cornwall’s iconic Headland Hotel and launch of Cornwall’s largest Spa

Strategy:

Reintroduce The Headland Hotel as Newquay’s finest whilst also promoting Newquay as an ideal year-round destination. Ahead of Cornwall’s largest spa launch (The Headland Spa), the PR strategy was to position The Headland as ideally located for beach breaks offering spectacular views surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on three sides. At the same time highlighting the proximity to London, Manchester and other large UK cities with the growing Cornwall Airport. The spa launch attracted extensive media coverage followed by awards whilst celebrating the overall history of The Headland, an important element to continue to promote. Several spa break packages were unveiled along with surf and spa offers with the hotel’s surf school Surf Sanctuary. Jo Foley launched the spa with Malcolm Bell of Visit Cornwall.
