Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Middlethorpe Hall becoming a Hotel & 30 Things to do in York in 2014

30 year ago this May, Middlethorpe Hall opened its elegant doors as York’s finest hotel. Built in 1699 of mellow red brick with limestone dressings, the hotel today sits within 20 acres of land. It is part of the Historic House Hotels group comprising three hotels owned by the National Trust. General Manager, Lionel Chatard joined Middlethorpe Hall ten years ago and continues to manage the award winning hotel team. The 29 bedroom hotel is furnished with antiques and fine paintings and looks out onto stunning manicured gardens and parkland. The hotel is home to a restaurant serving Modern British cuisine and a boutique spa whose facilities include a heated indoor pool, a steam room, sauna, whirlpool bath and a gymnasium.
