Dylan Thomas is regarded globally as one of the most important poets of the 20th century and the best place to get an insight into his inspiration is in Carmarthenshire, his cherished homeland that inspired many of his poems. The Corran Resort & Spa is located in Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas started writing ‘Under Milk Wood’. Laugharne had become his main home and it is here that he is buried next to his wife, Caitlin. A wonderful trail minutes from The Corran has been unveiled and covers 22 points of Dylan Thomas history including the church where Dylan is buried (St Martin’s), The Boat House, where he wrote one of his most famous poems and the Thomas family home for the last four years of his life. The Corran’s original 16th century building is at the heart of the hotel and home to several suites. Further suites are split across several outdoor buildings including The Byre, The Cottage, The Great Barn and The Orchard all home to individually designed suites with wonderful views.
