Beaches, Poetry & Spa Breaks
Seclusion is guaranteed at The Corran, a 21 bedrooms and suites hotel located in Laugharne, South West Wales. Here guests can relax in the original 16th century building or indulge in a selection of spa treatments by Pevonia Botanica at the boutique spa.
The outdoors however, are truly inspiring with the region around South Wales stretching for over 100 miles encompassing stunning sea views and beaches right up to the Pembrokeshire coast. Here visitors will find some of Europe’s cleanest and sandiest beaches including Cefn Sidan, Pembrey, Pendine, Llansteffan Beach & Scotts Bay and of course Laugharne where The Corran is located. These beaches are ideal for the whole family and dogs too.
Laugharne was home to one of Wales’ greatest writers, Dylan Thomas; it was here that he produced some of his most memorable works. This centenary year, Laugharne is alive with a new 22 point trail dedicated to Dylan Thomas including the Dylan Thomas Boathouse which is the ultimate destination for Thomas fans. Several theatre productions, a film and many books have been released already this year to celebrate the centenary, further putting Laugharne on the map.
Back at The Corran guests can enjoy a selection of spa treatments using the finest natural marine and botanical ingredients. The Plantomer Facial lasts 55 minutes and visibly enhances the skin’s texture and maximises hydration.
