For a grand venue with a rich history, Hartwell House, an impressive grade I listed stately home in the Vale of Aylesbury, is one of Buckinghamshire’s most celebrated country houses. Once graced by Louis XVIII, exiled King of France, the elegant house with Jacobean and Georgian facades and ornate interiors rich with rococo ceilings, antiques and paintings is reached by a sweeping drive, providing the perfect setting for a memorable wedding with stunning grounds complete with photogenic lake and bridge.

Awarded two AA Rosettes, food at Hartwell is locally sourced and home grown as much as possible with head chef Daniel Richardson, ex-Le Gavroche, sourcing the finest fresh, reliable grown and reared ingredients with low carbon footprint for his menus.
Choose from a variety of sumptuous private rooms for more intimate gatherings or a marquee in the grounds seating up to 150 guests or exclusive use. A more striking setting for a wedding would be hard to find than Bodysgallen Hall, a restored 17th house set high above the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno, with spectacular views across Snowdonia and Conwy Castle. Reached through a long drive through woodland and meadows, Bodysgallen Hall enjoys a deeply romantic, idyllic location set in 200 acres of parkland with romantic follies, a walled flower garden, rose garden and a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet herbs. The hotel was awarded AA Hotel of the Year for Wales 2013 and recently featured in BBC1 show ‘Glorious Gardens from Above’.
A restored stone farmhouse holds the Bodysgallen Spa with a large indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna, gym and treatment rooms – just the thing for soothing last-minute bridal nerves and getting guests camera ready.

Middlethorpe Hall is a handsome 17th century William and Mary country house, restored with carefully chosen antiques and artwork, standing in 20 acres of manicured gardens and parkland just outside the historic city of York.
Once the home of the famous diarist Lady Mary Wortley-Montagu, Middlethorpe Hall provides a magnificent setting for weddings and receptions, standing in 20 acres of gardens and parkland, which include a fragrant rose, lavender garden and a restored 18th century Dovecote and a walled garden.
The Spa at Middlethorpe Hall will help relax the wedding party with an inviting pool, steam room, sauna and whirlpool bath. A wide range of beauty treatments from Shellac nails to facials and body therapies using high-end Decleor and Neom Organics products are available.
The head chef creates imaginative menus using fresh local produce and produce from the hotel’s own gardens wherever possible to create memorable dining experiences awarded two AA Rosettes. The stunning candle lit dining room overlooks the gardens.
