Llangoed Hall Hotel, recently awarded AA Hotel of the Year 2013/2014 Wales, is the ideal destination for an impeccable dining experience. The hotel continues to invest in the dining experience headed up by head chef Nick Brodie. Surrounded by the vast Welsh countryside and Black Mountains, Llangoed Hall is home to several organic kitchen gardens which produce seasonal fruit and vegetables throughout the year. This year, 3 egg houses were unveiled and a new set of friends arrived; a chicken house, a duck house and a quail house – all at Llangoed Hall purely for their eggs. Also this year Nick Brodie introduced a smokehouse to add an extra dimension to his style of food.

Nick Brodie and his talented team place emphasis on creating dishes that make use of the finest local Welsh produce such as Welsh Black Beef and local Radnorshire Lamb, all flavoured with herbs picked from the hotel’s organic kitchen gardens. At Llangoed Hall breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in the Dining Room which overlooks some of the 17 acres of land surrounding the hotel. Four afternoon teas are served in the library at Llangoed Hall including a new Laura Ashley celebration tea inspired by her designs at Llangoed Hall Hotel, once home to the Ashley family.

Two dinner menus offer guests the ultimate experience; a 5 Course Dinner draws on local seasonal produce and a Tasting Dinner is paired throughout with a selection of carefully selected wines.

Nick Brodie joined the hotel from The Queensberry Hotel and Olive Tree restaurant in Bath, where he achieved three AA rosettes and won numerous other accolades. His skill helped secure the recent Hotel of the Year 2013/2014 Wales award followed by the AA Inspectors’ Choice with 4 Red Stars.

Llangoed Hall is currently shortlisted for the Best Restaurant accolade in the 2014 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence which are to be held in London in November.

An investment programme of over £2 million overseen by passionate Managing Director Calum Milne has helped establish Llangoed Hall as one of the UK’s finest hotels. The 23 bedrooms, public areas and gardens all have their own exciting story to be shared. Calum continues to promote the region to wider audiences and was appointed as an ambassador of the Cambrian Mountains Initiative, due to Llangoed Hall’s contribution to the overall sustainability of this unique region of Wales. The Cambrian Mountains Initiative was inspired by HRH The Prince of Wales who, as its President, wishes to sustain traditional upland farms, rural communities and the natural environment.
