The Headland offers four iconic front row dining spots facing the Atlantic and Fistral Beach. Cornwall has always been a celebrated foodie destination and The Headland offer fresh, locally sourced produce including Newquay Bay lobster and Carnanton Estate pheasant amongst other locally sourced ingredients. Each meal at The Headland is freshly prepared to perfection with a Market Fish option available on a daily basis throughout the year.

The Restaurant at The Headland offers relaxed elegance serving dinner each evening. Starters include Cape Cornwall Spider Crab & Smoked Salmon Roulade served with Green apple and mange tout salad and Cornish Heritage Tomatoes served with Buffalo mozzarella, wild rocket and basil pesto. Mains include Cornish Market Fish served with Asian vegetables, Thai fish cake, mango pico and coriander and Cornish Hake served alongside Spring onion mash, pancetta, fine beans and pea velouté. Several other options including vegetarian are also on the menu. The Restaurant faces the Atlantic literally overlooking the waves with an undisturbed view.

The Terrace offers a more casual dining environment and has a direct path down to Surf Sanctuary; The Headland’s surf school and on to Fistral Beach. The floor to ceiling windows allow diners to feel they are very much part of this unique landscape. Dishes include fresh local seafood, imaginative salads and a selection of lighter mains. The Terrace offers all day dining with the sea as a magnificent backdrop.

The Headland’s signature dish created by Chef Sanjay Kumar is Lobster macaroni cheese with Davidstow cheddar. This is served daily in The Terrace. Sanjay is a well-known chef within the Cornish community and other than working at The Headland he runs ‘The School of Cornish Sardines’; set up to inspire others to utilise the wonderful seafood available in the area encouraging them to both cook and eat in a healthy way. Sanjay has also created a selection of Ayurvedic influenced dishes which are served in the new Spa Lounge dining area at The Headland.

The Spa Lounge which faces the Atlantic Ocean on the lower level of The Headland set within Cornwall’s largest spa offers a healthy and inspiring menu of Ayurvedic influence, complementing the spa’s philosophy of wellbeing. Ayurveda teaches that all major food groups and nutrients are represented in every meal in order to fulfil the body’s needs. A variety of ingredients have been sourced to suit different body types with the aim to ‘repair, rehydrate, relight and replenish’. The Spa Lounge serves meals during spa opening hours.

The Veranda is the perfect outdoor dining spot at The Headland and complements the overall offering. Diners can enjoy warmer weather and spectacular sunsets out on the glass-fronted veranda, with outdoor seating including an upper deck for alfresco dining.

The Headland recently picked up two prestigious awards at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2013-14 and is home to Cornwall’s only 5 bubble rated spa; Cornwall’s largest spa. With so many dining options, the appetite is always rewarded at The Headland.
